After our research and having conversations on whatsapp and the video conference with the students of Pontes Lyceum , we have come to a conclusion that in India we celebrate many festivals like Eid, Holi, Diwali,Chirstmas, Raksha Bandhan, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturti, Gokulashtmi, Mahashivratri, Easter, Makar Sankranti and many more in a festive way whereas in Netherlands they only celebrate Easter, Halloween and Christmas on a grand scale. They celebrate festivals in a different way than we do. Most of them do not believe in any such term as Religion. They visit the Church only on special occasions. We feel that they have not received formal education on religions but they have very strong family values and celebrate festivals with family. But, in India we get formal education in our religion like in the Madarasas, at the Sunday Church, ot the Derasar, or Gurudwara and the Agiary. There are many seremons given and recitals of prayers done by the Indians. Hence, most of the festivals have an attachment to religious beliefs. But, since India is a diverse country all religions happily celebrate each others faiths and religious festivals.
